After careful selection, the jury of the 2019 Game of the Year award announced the Finalist games in the Competition. There are five titles for each of the two categories, Role Playing and Table Games, chosen from a record number of participants. Let's find out together.
Game of the Year Finalists 2019: Role Playing Games
There were 24 titles participating in this edition of the competition. Among these, the jury of experts, composed of Paolo Cupola, Mirella Vicini (vice president), Davide Scano (coordinator), Anna Benedetto, Giovanni Bacaro, Daniele Prisconta and Luca Bonora, has selected the five Finalist titles. We summarize them below.
City of Mist. Investigative noir role-playing game that puts players in the shoes of the Chosen, people endowed with legendary power. From an idea Amit Moshe, published by Son of Oak Game Studio and distributed by Isola Illyon Edizioni.
Coriolis The Third Horizon. Sci-fi game with a classic flavor, catapult the players aboard a starship that travels the most remote corners of the universe. By Tomas Harenston, edited by Fria Ligan and distributed by Wyrd Edizioni.
Heavy Sugar. Set in a 20s teslapunk version, it allows players to play a group of rebels in an electric and dystopian reality. All Spanish game, from an idea of Simone Morini, published by Eleven Aces and distributed by Aces Games.
HouseHold. Get to know the Little Peoples who live in the Great Mansion, in a game that makes the very small the heart of the scene. Spanish production, by Riccardo Sirignano and Simone Formicola, published and distributed by Raven Distribution.
Vampires: La Masquerade. Fifth Edition of the famous Vampire RPG, it keeps intact all the charm of the vampire society par excellence, between clans, struggles for power and ferocious bloodshed. By Kenneth Hit and Karim Muammar, published by White Wolf Entertainment, distributed by Need Games - Asmodee Spain.

The Table Games category also saw dizzying participation. As many as 44 entered the competition, among which the jury selected the five Finalists. The selection was chaired by Paolo Cupola, flanked by Beatrice Parisi (vice president) and Fabrizio Paoli (coordinator). The jury was completed by Riccardo Busetto, Massimiliano Calimera, Fabio Cambiaghi, Alessio Lana, Caterina Ligabue and Giordana Moroni. Here are the Finalist Game of the Year 2019 titles.
