With all these free video games however there is always a risk of not being able to redeem someone in time. For this reason we have decided to write this article, in which we will tell you about the many free games offered in July by the various monthly subscription services and more.
Don't rest on your laurels
Many of the games we will talk about in this article will be free throughout July, but others will only during a certain period. For this reason, we recommend that you redeem the titles that interest you as soon as possible, so as to avoid unpleasant situations.
Also we remind you once again that to download most of the free games we will tell you about you will need to have the right subscription. Fortunately, however, many of these services have a free trial period which in some cases you can use to redeem the games that interest you.
PlayStation Plus - The free games of July 2021
As always, we start our list with the PlayStation Plus, the subscription service of Sony. As you know by now, the PlayStation Plus offers many advantages, such as the ability to play online on PS4 / PS5 and to load saves in the cloud, but it also allows you to redeem three free titles per month. Here are the free games available in July with the service:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
- WWE 2K Battlegrounds
- A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5)
This month, PS4 players will be able to enjoy themselves with two multiplayer titles. The first is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, one of the most content-filled chapters of the historical COD saga, the second one is WWE 2K Battlegrounds, an arcade title in which you will be able to confront some of the greatest fighters in WWE. PS5 owners will also be able to try A Plague Tale: Innocence, a title just landed on Sony's next-gen console that tells the story of two brothers forced to fight for survive during the plague epidemic of 1349.
Xbox Live Gold - July 2021 Free Games
Now it's up toXbox Live Gold, the counterpart Microsoft of the PlayStation Plus. The games we will talk about are part of the program Games with Gold and are updated on a monthly basis. Be careful though, because some of these titles will be available only for some platforms and during specific periods. Here is the list of Games with Gold flanked by the platform and the period in which they will be available:
- Conker Live & Reloadead (July 1-15 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S)

Also this month the titles offered by Microsoft are not very flashy, but still on the list there are some that are more than enjoyable. For example, the most nostalgic gamers will surely appreciate Conker Live & Reloadead, one of the most iconic platformers of Rare. Alternatively you can also try Planet Alpha, for an 2D platformer set on a fascinating alien world.
Xbox Game Pass - The free games of July 2021
We still stay at Microsoft to talk aboutXbox Game Pass. At the moment the stock of titles of the service is very large and, on a monthly basis, is enriched with new games. Usually several quality titles arrive every month and also this time the company was not far behind. Here is the list of new free games added to the service in July alongside the platform and the period in which they will be available:
- Dragon Quest Builders 2 (available from 8 July via the cloud)
- Tropico 6 (available July 8 for PC, console and cloud)
- EA Sports UFC 4 (available from July 8 for consoles)
- Bloodroots (available July 15th for PC, console and cloud)
- Farming Simulator 19 (available July 15th for PC, console and cloud)
- The Medium (available from July 15th via the cloud)
If you own an Xbox Game Pass subscription, this month you really will many different titles to play with. For example, if you love city builders for sure you will love them Tropico 6, if you prefer sports titles you will certainly appreciate it EA Sports UFC 4. Also, if you usually use the xCloud, now you can use it to play The Medium, the latest horror from Bloober Team.
PlayStation Now - The free games of July 2021
Let's now move on to cloud gaming with the PlayStation Now, the streaming gaming service created by Sony. At the moment the PlayStation Now boasts a very large stock portfolio and every month it is always enriched with many new features. Also, most of the games available for PS4 they can also be downloaded, thus offering the possibility to play them even to those who do not have an excellent connection. Here is the list of free games added to the service in July:
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Nioh 2
- Judgment
- Moving Out
- God of War
- Team Sonic Racing
This time Sony has really outdone itself with PlayStation Now games. This month, players will be able to enjoy excellent titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Nioh 2 e Judgment. Also from this month God of War will be available again indefinitely for all subscribers.
Google Stadia Pro - The free games of July 2021
Let's talk now about Stadia, the Google streaming gaming platform. Although a subscription is not required to use Stadia, with the pro subscription you will have additional benefits, including many new titles every month. The new free games available in July are:
