The only high tide on June 10 is that of the announcements: here's a handy recap of all those that were shown at the Summer Game Fest

In the end we managed to get to the doors of theE3 2021 all integers, and the Game Summer Fest it was a more than lavish appetizer: indeed, it seems more like a buffet of announcements, to the point that a recap as a digestive would now be useful. The show, so much wanted last year by Geoff keighley (Game Awards) in place of the Los Angeles fair, has finally arrived, also confirming many rumors we have talked about recently, including the photo of Kojima, Two-Point Campus and, yes, even Elden Ring. There really is a ton of things to talk about, so we'll put a handy list for you below.

All in one night (first of six)

The announcements here are certainly not lacking: we will try to go quickly, but please forgive us if every now and then we catch our breath with the recap given the enormity of news included in yesterday's Summer Game Fest (but they really should all be there). We won't fail to include the full event below as well, should you want to see it through to the end. You are ready?

  • Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: a fantasy themed Borderlands spinoff, coming in early 2022. We'll have more news on this in the summer.
  • Metal Slug Tactics: DotEmu strikes again and this time the indie scene brings SNK's war to strategic soil. Songs of Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania).
  • Death Stranding Director’s Cut: Hideo Kojima returns to PS5 with an extended version of his already extended latest work. Full reveal in a few weeks.
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2: Jeff Goldblum has announced the sequel to the acclaimed management software, in which he will reprise the role of Ian Malcolm. It comes out this year.
  • Back 4 Blood: The spiritual heir of Left 4 Dead returns to show off with a new trailer, which also announces an open beta coming in August.

From impostors to sacrifices - Summer Game Fest 2021: all the announcements

Let's move on to five other notable Summer Game Fest announcements. We allude to Lost Ark, Among Us, Salt and Sacrifice and Solar Ash.

  • Lost Ark: The trailer for the role-playing game from Smilegate and Amazon Prime Games showed the title in action. Expected release, barring hitches, for this autumn.
  • Among Us: New modes coming like hide and seek, new roles, colors, viewers and even goals. The fifth map is in development.
  • Salt and Sacrifice: The soulslike indie Salt and Sanctuary will receive an exclusive sequel to Sony's platforms, as it is only available on PS4 and PS5.
  • Solar Ash: Another Sony exclusive, from the authors of Hyper Light Drifter. The Heart Machine title is slated for this year, of course only on PS4 and PS5.
  • Escape from Tarkov: The shooter showed off with a new trailer, albeit without a precise release date yet.

We now have the welcome confirmation of a leak, the return of a beloved title, a light-hearted shooter and much more: the announcements of the Summer Game Fest really have something for everyone.

  • Two-Point Campus: The spiritual sequel to Two-Point Hospital, but with a university theme, will arrive next year on all platforms, again by Two Point and SEGA.
  • Painkiller: Development team Saber Interactive has confirmed that the series is on its way back, but other than a statement from director Todd Hollenshead we have nothing to report.
  • The Anacrusis: A shooter with a semi-serious atmosphere, exclusive to PC (Windows, Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox (One, Series X, Series S).
  • Rocket League: On June 17, the free-to-play title will participate in a crossover event. The cars from Fast and Furious will take part.
  • Bloodhunt Vampire The Masquerade: In a gameplay trailer, the game sports its own customizable avatars. Closed alpha coming soon, release scheduled for 2021.

We dedicate this section to the announcements of the Summer Game Fest for all gaming lovers with a more marked taste Oriental.

  • Tales of Arise: Bandai Namco will update us on its RPG in the coming weeks, but the release date is still scheduled for September 10th.
  • Sky Children of Light: The console debut of the title will take place on Nintendo Switch. The version for the hybrid console is scheduled for June 29th.
  • Planet of Lana: A cinematic platformer not unlike what we saw in Limbo and Inside, but with (mostly) much lighter atmospheres. 2022.
  • Monster Hunter 2 Wings of Ruin: A trailer showcased some of the pre-order bonuses, as well as available amiibo and the bonus for those who have played Rise. July 9.

We are heading towards the end of the line: Far Cry 6, Endless Dungeon and Fall Guys mark the latest announcements of the Summer Game Fest.

  • Far Cry 6: Giancarlo Esposito (Anton Castillo in the game) attended a short interview, in what was perhaps the only non-announcement yesterday.
  • Endless Dungeon: SEGA's twin-stick shooter, announced at previous Game Awards, is still slated for release on all platforms.
  • Fall Guys: A very short trailer confirmed that the next collaboration planned in the game will be a costume that replicates the likeness of 2B from Nier: Automata. June 18.

Final with a bang?

Among the latest announcements from the Summer Game Fest, we have two small bombs for Sony and one for all Xbox lovers. Let's see together what it is.

  • Deviation Games: A newborn development team, which will immediately collaborate with a triple A project exclusive to Sony platforms.
  • Tunic: The semi-indie Zelda-like for Xbox consoles will soon be available in demo format, coinciding with the ID @ Xbox event.
  • Evil Dead, The Game: Bruce Campbell himself spoke in a trailer for the Dead by Daylight thread that will see him as the protagonist. It comes out this year.
  • Elden Ring: Last but not least (at the explicit request of the creators, to encourage viewing of the other trailers), we have a gameplay trailer and a release date. January 21, 2022.
